Manufacturing Expo 2024 Kicks Off Global industrialists gather to explore cutting-edge machinery from over 2,000 brands.

The “Manufacturing Expo 2024” is now open, welcoming industrial professionals from across the manufacturing sector.  They can explore over 2,000 brands of industrial machinery from 30 countries worldwide. The event also features more than 50 top-notch academic seminars, aiming to attract over 95,000 visitors this year.

The “Manufacturing Expo 2024” officially opened on the morning of 19 June, with Mr. Danainat Chockamnuay, Advisor, Minister of Industry, presiding over the opening ceremony. He also delivered a special keynote on “Towards Future-Driven Innovations for Sustainability” at the event.

Dr. Kriengsak Wongpromrat, President, Thailand Automotive Institute, highlighted that a leading academic conference, the “Automotive Summit,” is one of the highlights of the insightful 50 seminars organized by RX Tradex. This premier academic seminar in the automotive industry, co-hosted by the Automotive Institute and RX Tradex for 11 years, covers all aspects of sustainability, economy, environment, and society, all contributing to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Mrs. Varaporn Dhamcharee, Managing Director, RX Tradex, emphasized the organization’s mission to propel the Thai industry to the forefront of global competition.  Through showcasing the latest products and innovations, and knowledge-sharing forums with experts from various fields, the event will gather industrialists from Thailand and the ASEAN region to enhance capabilities towards sustainable success and business resilience. The “Manufacturing Expo 2024,” the most comprehensive machinery and technology expo for manufacturing and supporting industries in ASEAN, will be held from 19-22 June, alongside the “Automotive Summit” from 19-20 June.

The Manufacturing Expo features seven special zones spread throughout the entire 45,000 – square – meter venue at BITEC. These zones cover a wide range of industries, including:

  1. InterPlas Thailand : Showcasing sustainable manufacturing practices, with highlights like the high-speed injection machine from YIZUMI.
  2. InterMold Thailand : Focused on high-quality mould manufacturing.
  3. Automotive Manufacturing : Displaying innovations in parts manufacturing.
  4. Assembly & Automation Technology: Featuring advanced robotics for manufacturing and services.
  5. Surface & Coatings : Innovations in surface treatment and coating.
  6. NEPCON Thailand : Solutions for electronics production.
  7. FacTech : Showcasing technologies for managing factories and commercial building.

Beyond the diverse range of exhibitors, the event also features seven special zones:

  1. Sustainovation Showcase: An open platform for industries to present innovations supporting environmental conservation and sustainability.
  2. FacTech Focus: Knowledge exchange on factory and commercial building development, covering topics like carbon reduction strategies, 5G technology, AI, Smart Factories, Cybersecurity, ISO standards, and more.
  3. Future Mobility: A meeting point for future automotive technology, including EV innovations and hydrogen fuel cell technology.
  4. Service Robot Zone: Showcasing the latest service robots to elevate Thailand’s service and industrial sectors.
  5. Tools & Tooling Pavilion: Leading brands offering tools and equipment for high-quality mold production.
  6. Surface & Coatings Innovation Prize 2024: A competition highlighting new talent in the surface coating industry, with significant awards and recognition.
  7. IPC Hand Soldering & Rework Competition: A contest to find the best soldering professionals, with winners representing ASEAN at the IPC Hand Soldering World Championship in Germany.

In addition to the exhibition floor, the event features over 50 seminars with more than 120 industry experts, including the “Automotive Summit,” co-organised with the Automotive Institute. This year’s theme, “Towards Future-Driven Innovations for Sustainability,” aims to update automotive industry professionals in Thailand and ASEAN with the latest knowledge to navigate the industry’s sustainable future.

“Building on the success of the previous 13 Manufacturing Expos, we are confident that this year’s event will attract global industrialists seeking new business opportunities and market expansion. Business matchings at the event are anticipated to generate approximately 6.5 billion baht, and we are confident in reaching our target of 95,000 visitors,” concluded Mrs. Varaporn.
