Siam Piwat sponsors two para-athletes at the 2024 Paralympic Games and hosts the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games at Siam Paragon

Siam Piwat Group – a leading real estate and retail business developer, the owner and operator of Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery, and the joint owner of ICONSIAM and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok – is sponsoring two of its employees who are para-athletes to compete at the global level in the Paralympic Games 2024, reinforcing its “Siam Piwat Way” concept and its position as a platform of opportunities. In addition, Siam Piwat is inviting Thai people to show support for all 79 members of the Thai Paralympic team participating in the 17th Paralympic Games 2024 in Paris, France, and visit the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games exhibition from August 28 to September 8, 2024, at the Crystal Court on the 2nd floor of Siam Paragon.

Siam Piwat invites Thai people to support and cheer for all 79 Thai para-athletes competing in the 17th Paralympic Games 2024 in Paris, France, throughout the duration of the event. This year, the company is sponsoring two of its employees who are para-athletes: Ms. Suneeporn Tanomwong in athletics and Ms. Apinya Thongdaeng in wheelchair fencing, as they represent Thailand in the competition. Through the years, Siam Piwat has been a sponsor for para-athletes in various important tournaments, with the goal of building confidence among employees with talent in different areas, providing them with opportunities to showcase their capabilities, strive for excellence, and bring international recognition to the organization, regardless of physical differences. This effort reflects the company’s commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion and reinforces its role as an Opportunity Platform for all.

Following the conclusion of the global sporting event Olympic Games Paris 2024 and a warm welcome-back event for Thai athletes returning to Thailand, hosted at Siam Paragon, an exhibition titled Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games is being organized from August 28 to September 8, 2024 to present the history of the Thai Paralympic Committee and showcase the past achievements of Thai para-athletes in various events, including the FESPIC Games (now known as the Asian Para Games), ASEAN Para Games, and Paralympic Games. The exhibition also offers an overview of Thai athletes’ performance in the recent 2024 Olympic Games. A key highlight of the exhibition is a feature on Boccia, a sport created for individuals with cerebral palsy and other neurological impairments affecting motor skills, allowing them to develop their skills and compete in athletic competitions.

The exhibition also showcases the origin of the Paralympic athletes’ uniforms, introduced by the Thai Paralympic Committee. These uniforms were collaboratively designed by PIPATCHARA, a Thai global fashion brand, and the athletes themselves to suit their needs and ensure wearability without physical limitations. The concept “Prepare to Take Off” represents the idea of charging forward to overcome obstacles in pursuit of success. The uniforms, which the Thai team will wear at the 2024 Paralympic Games opening ceremony, feature colors of the Thai national flag. Additionally, the exhibition displays the sportwear designed by FBT, which includes the training, warm-up, and competition outfits for the athletes. These uniforms incorporate Braille, the universal writing system for the visually impaired, as a key design element, which spells out “THAILAND,” signifying the athletes’ representation of their country.

Siam Piwat invites all Thais to join in supporting Thai athletes competing in the 2024 Paralympic Games and visit the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games exhibition, which will be held from August 28 to September 8, 2024, at the Crystal Court on the 2nd floor of Siam Paragon.
