Singha Estate encourages business partners to grow sustainably at “S – Together 2024” Seminar, Green Together – Growth Together, to build an eco-friendly business chain

Singha Estate Public Company Limited (SET: S) and S Hotels and Resorts Public Company Limited (SET: SHR) hosted the S – Together 2024 seminar under the topic “Green Together – Growth Together: Building an Eco-Friendly Business Chain Together.” Now in its third year, this event aims to prepare business partners for environmentally-friendly procurement practices or Green Procurement in line with the company’s ESG principles, fostering a robust business network and advancing towards carbon neutrality by 2030. The seminar saw participation from over 50 organizations and more than 100 attendees at the PRIDE Conference Room, 39th Floor, SUNTOWERS Building B.

Mrs. Thitima Rungkwansiriroj, Chief Executive Officer of Singha Estate Public Company Limited (SET: S), who presided at the seminar, stated: “Singha Estate is dedicated to sustainable real estate development through our vision of being ‘Entrusted and Value Enricher’ to ensure value and sustainable growth. This seminar is intended to heighten awareness among our partners and prepare them for carbon reduction. We prioritize reducing environmental impacts across all stages, enhancing clean energy use, minimizing waste, and managing resources efficiently across all our operations. This commitment is crucial for delivering exceptional products and services to our customers. Achieving our goals requires a strong, reliable business network, as our partners play a vital role in our value chain and are key to our joint sustainable growth. We are also updating our procurement policies to include Green Procurement criteria, which will be a fundamental aspect of our product and service selection moving forward.”

Mr. Issarin Patramai, Chief Financial Officer of S Hotels and Resorts Public Company Limited (SET: SHR), elaborated on SHR’s initiatives: “In our hotel operations, we are committed to achieving a balance between ‘society, community, and the environment.’ We engage all stakeholders and involve them in our Sustainable Procurement practices. This includes supporting local products, enhancing their value—such as through local cuisine offerings—and selling local products as souvenirs. Additionally, we prioritize sourcing eco-friendly products to mitigate the environmental impact of our hotel activities and ensure guest safety. Choosing business partners who provide environmentally friendly products and services is essential for us in fostering a sustainable ecosystem. This not only supports environmental conservation and preserves community uniqueness but also enriches our guests’ travel experiences.”

The seminar featured distinguished speakers with national expertise in sustainability, including Assist. Prof. Dr. Thon Thamrongnawasawat, Deputy Dean for Special Affairs, Faculty of Fisheries, Kasetsart University, and Prof. Dr. Pisut Painmanakul, Deputy Dean for Innovation and Sustainability Strategy, Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. They presented on “Green Together – Growth Together,” addressing the path to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050, navigating rapid global and environmental changes, and adapting business practices to support environmental care for sustainable growth. The seminar also welcomed Dr. Thantip Punmatharith, Founder and Managing Director of Get Solutions (Thailand) Co., Ltd., along with Mr. Khem Kamwongpin, Chief Design and Construction, and Mrs. Jakpanee SothornnopabutrFirst Vice President Corporate Procurement at Singha Estate Public Company Limited, who participated in the session “Strive for Decarbonize, Let’s Achieve Together.” They discussed greenhouse gas certification systems to manage and control greenhouse gas emissions throughout the supply chain, guiding businesses, society, and the environment toward a sustainable Net Zero future.
