VIVIN is excited to announce the latest edition of its Grocerant Takeover menu series, featuring renowned chocolatier and chef Daniel Bucher from Pridi Cacaofevier. From 1st to 31st October 2024 at VIVIN Asok.

Chef Daniel will showcase his exceptional culinary creativity with a special menu titled The Chocolate Fest Special, featuring both savoury and sweet dishes that highlight the beauty and versatility of Thai cocoa.

This exclusive collaboration presents an exciting fusion of VIVIN’s locally sourced, organic ingredients and Pridi Cacaofevier’s artisanal chocolate. Chef Daniel’s expertise in sustainable chocolate crafting will be reflected in each dish, making this event a celebration of Thailand’s burgeoning cocoa industry.

The takeover will be held at VIVIN Asok and offers an unforgettable experience for food lovers keen to explore unique flavours that combine Thai cocoa beans with locally sourced produce.

Following the success of previous Grocerant Takeovers, including collaborations with Michelin-rated restaurant chefs such as Amerigo Tito Sesti with Yoan Martin previously of J’aime Bangkok, the legendary Nooror Somany Steppe from Blue Elephant, Ferran Tadeo Domenech  of Embassy Room, Park Hyatt and Hervé Frerard of Brasserie 9, VIVIN continues to push culinary boundaries, offering a truly one-of-a-kind local, artisanal, natural and organic dining experience.

Chef Daniel Bucher’s Special Chocolate Fest Menu

  1. Smoked Tuna and Cacao Pulp Tartare Salad Smoked tuna loin, watermelon, Ciboulet cheese spread, organic lemon, and finished with fresh cacao pulp.
    This refreshing dish showcases a surprising yet harmonious combination of smoked tuna and cacao pulp, creating a delicate balance between fresh and savoury elements.

  2. Chocolate Crusted BBQ Duck Breast Cocoa and Pridi smoked chili dry rub, chocolate pan jus, mashed organic potatoes, and baby carrots.
    The deep richness of cocoa meets the smoky tenderness of duck breast in this BBQ-inspired dish, rounded off with a smooth chocolate sauce and seasonal vegetables.

  3. Fresh Goat Cheese and White Chocolate Crème Brûlée Free-range eggs, fresh goat cheese, Pridi coconut white chocolate, caramel sugar crust served in a cacao pod.
    A decadent dessert that reimagines the classic crème brûlée with tangy goat cheese and the subtle sweetness of coconut white chocolate.
