MLA announces ‘Piya Dankum’ as the 2024 member of the ‘Aussie Beef Mates’ program in Thailand and host an Exclusive Aussie Beef Mates masterclass and Networking Dinner, showcasing exceptional experiences through premium Australian beef dishes.
Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) proudly introduced Mr. Piya Dankum, CEO of Salad Factory, as the 2024 member of the Aussie Beef Mates program for Thailand, and hosted an exclusive Aussie Meat Academy featuring a masterclass led by the Aussie Beef Mates team. The event culminated in a unique dining experience at the Aussie Beef Mates Networking Dinner, highlighting the excellence of premium Australian beef. These activities underscored the growing appeal of premium Australian beef among the new generation of consumers, valued for its exceptional quality, health benefits and environmental sustainability.
MLA, the marketing, research and development organisation dedicated to the Australian red meat and livestock industry, organised an exclusive masterclass at Salad Factory’s Ari branch. Headed by the Aussie Beef Mates (ABMs) team, and Salad Factory chefs, the session demonstrated the versatility of Australian Beef. Using a ‘cut by cook’ approach the chefs can transform less used secondary cuts in to gourmet dishes which can be cooked over the charcoal grill or by pan-frying. This educational initiative highlighted the culinary potential of Australian Beef, inspiring participants to explore its unique flavours and quality, while promoting family-friendly cooking activities and special dishes for various occasions.
The celebrations continued with the Aussie Beef Mates Networking Dinner, a gathering to honour ‘Mr. Piya Dankum for being appointed as the 2024 member of the Aussie Beef Mate’s program in Thailand.’ The event featured a specially curated menu, crafted in collaboration with MLA, the Aussie Beef Mates of Thailand and the Salad Factory team, that highlighted premium dishes featuring Grilled Australian Wagyu Beef with Beef Fat Fried Rice, Australian Wagyu Beef BBQ, Grilled Australian Black Angus Beef Picanha with Jaew, and Australian Black Angus Picanha Beef Steak with Chimichurri and Rocket Salad. These dishes were expertly paired with Penfolds wines from Southern Australia to enhance the overall culinary experience.
As part of this initiative, a limited-time offer menu featuring Australian Beef will be available at Salad Factory branches from today until 31 January 2025. This menu includes innovative dishes that celebrate the diversity of Australian Beef while promoting its premium quality and accessibility to Thai diners. MLA aims to inspire the younger generation to experience premium dining and develop a deeper appreciation and love for Australian beef.
Mr. Piya Dankum’s selection as the 2024 member of the Aussie Beef Mates Thailand program reflects his leadership in the restaurant industry and his dedication to promoting high-quality ingredients. Since founding Salad Factory in 2012, he has grown the brand to 46 outlets, recognised for their healthy menus and homemade concepts. His collaboration with MLA and the Aussie Beef Mates program further strengthens the connection between Thailand and Australia, showcasing the exceptional quality of Australian Beef to a broader audience.
