FWD Insurance launches ‘CI Re-Claim Re-Care’ through the agency channel: a new critical illness plan with enhanced claims, premier care, and multiple claim options

FWD Life Insurance Plc. (“FWD Insurance”) has launched its latest critical illness insurance product, “CI Re-Claim Re-Care,” under the “Total CIs Solutions” concept. This plan offers coverage of up to 1,100% of the sum assured for critical illnesses, with the ability to make multiple claims—up to 14 times—while providing coverage until the age of 99. It is designed to comprehensively address every aspect of critical illness care.

Following the successful introduction of CI Med-ALL and CI Cash A Day—products that allow customers to extend, add to, customise, and arrange their critical illness coverage towards the end of 2023—FWD Insurance has developed the CI Re-Claim Re-Care plan. This plan covers every stage of a critical illness and provides multiple lump-sum benefits to help manage present and potential future medical expenses. According to the World Health Organization* (WHO), over the past decade, 14 million Thais have been diagnosed with non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as cardiovascular diseases, strokes, diabetes, and various cancers, with over 300,000 deaths occurring annually. Recognizing the challenges of recurrent critical illnesses and the financial burden of ongoing medical treatment, FWD Insurance is committed to providing exceptional support through products that offer comprehensive coverage and a full range of specialized services.

“CI Re-Claim Re-Care” is a critical illness insurance plan designed under the Total CIs Solutions concept. It provides enhanced claims and premier care, covering all stages of critical illness with comprehensive special services from pre-claim to post-claim. This ensures complete coverage and care throughout the entire process.

  1. Coverage for 110 critical illnesses: this plan provides protection for all stages of critical illnesses, covering 50 early to intermediate stage critical illnesses and 60 last stage critical illnesses, with coverage extending until the age of 99.
  2. Multiple claims up to 14 times: this feature offers peace of mind, ensuring that even with multiple occurrences of critical illnesses, customers will continue to receive top-tier care. Early to intermediate stage critical illnesses can be claimed up to five times, and last stage critical illnesses up to nine times.
  3. Coverage for the recurrence of five critical illnesses: this policy allows for a repeated claim on five severe critical illnesses commonly found in Thailand, including metastatic cancer, acute myocardial infarction, stroke, severe burns, and organ transplant or bone marrow transplantation.
  4. Maximum benefits of up to 1,100% of the sum assured: the plan offers significant benefits, providing up to 200% of the sum assured for early to intermediate stage critical illnesses and up to 900% for last stage critical illnesses.
  5. Premium waiver upon diagnosis of a last stage critical illness: Upon the first diagnosis of a last stage critical illness, customers can immediately stop paying premiums for the CI Re-Claim Re-Care rider from the next installment onward.

In addition to offering superior coverage, FWD Insurance is committed to being a true ‘Health Companion’ for its customers, offering added benefits beyond the policy with enhanced customer care services across various dimensions, including:

  • “FWD Care Recovery Plan” – a post-claim service that supports customers and their families during critical times following a claim approval for death or severe critical illness. This service includes eight specialized assistance services designed to fully support customers and their families.
  • “FWD MyWell” – a pre-claim service that offers preventive health care benefits beyond the policy’s coverage, including innovations for immunity enhancement, ergonomics care, and access to alternative medicine to prevent physical deterioration.
