Nestlé Thailand, a leading food and beverage company that has been in Thailand for over 130 years, is continuing to support good health and nutrition among Thais by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Nutrition Association of Thailand (NAT) under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to improve health literacy, promote healthy behaviors, and support research to elevate health and nutrition knowledge.
Under this MOU, Nestlé Thailand is offering research grants to the NAT for three years to support research on health and nutrition in Thailand. Additionally, a special grant for 2025 will fund research on promoting healthy habits and balanced diets to enhance sustainable well-being and reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Nestlé Thailand and the NAT have agreed to jointly promote health and nutrition literacy in Thailand, with a shared goal of ensuring better health and nutrition among the Thai people.
Ms. Salinla Seehaphan, Corporate Affairs Director, Nestlé (Thai) Ltd., said, “Nestlé recognizes the importance of promoting good health and well-being sustainably through a balanced diet. In addition to offering tasty and nutritious high quality products, we also currently have more than 100 products certified with the Healthier Choice Logo, with lower sugar, sodium, and fat content. Over the past 16 years, we have also continued to organize activities to share health and nutrition knowledge with Thais nationwide. It is an honor for Nestlé to officially sign this MOU with the NAT to promote good health and nutrition among the Thai people. We hope that our partnership will bring progress to nutrition research and help Thais reduce NCDs in the country.”
Associate Professor Dr. Rewadee Chongsuwat, President of the Nutrition Association of Thailand, said, “The NAT’s mission is to support and encourage good nutrition in Thailand, and we have partnerships with various organizations to achieve this while preventing unhealthy habits among Thais. Nestlé has been a long-term partner in building and sharing health knowledge with the Thai community. This MOU takes our partnership to the next level, allowing us to leverage each other’s expertise to benefit the people of Thailand through health and nutrition knowledge, which will play a significant role in our country’s sustainable development.”
