LINE Thailand Unveils New Services and Technology Roadmap for Partners at LINE CONFERENCE THAILAND 2025 Launching 3 New Services: LINE PREMIUM, LINE GIFT, and LINE HEALTH

LINE Thailand has unveiled its new services and technology roadmap, packed with business opportunities for partners, at LINE CONFERENCE THAILAND 2025 (LCT25). Under the new mission, “Create an amazing life platform that brings WOW! to our users,” LINE is taking a bigger leap forward as a life platform in the digital world. The event kicks off with the announcement of three new services: LINE PREMIUM, LINE GIFT, and LINE HEALTH, designed to meet the needs of Thai users while reinforcing LINE’s strengths in Hyper-localization & Humanization. Additionally, IPX (LINE FRIENDS) and LINE WEBTOON will present new strategies in IP Business, bringing beloved characters and contents into brand collaborations in Thailand. On the technology front, developers will see key highlights such as “LINE MINIAPP” and the LINE DEVELOPER PARTNER program, which aims to support Thai developers.

Moving Towards a Life Platform that Brings WOW! to Every Aspect of Thai Users

By leveraging our strengths in chat features and service development strategies—Hyper-localization & Humanization—we are able to deeply connect with 56 million Thai users while continuously listening to their needs and assessing market readiness. This enables us to create WOW! experiences through new services launching in 2025, along with various collaboration opportunities for brands and developers at LINE CONFERENCE THAILAND 2025. This year’s event marks a significant milestone in elevating Thailand’s platform ecosystem and digital industry to the next level.”

Launching 3 New Services in 2025: “LINE PREMIUM – LINE GIFT – LINE HEALTH”

Three new services are set to launch on the LINE app this year, reinforcing its position as a chat platform that enhances the quality of life for Thai users in a more comprehensive way.

  1. LINE PREMIUM: While the LINE app remains free for all users, this is a subscription service offering LINE users the option to enhance their chat experience with exclusive features, such as app icon customization, font alternation, multiple profiles for creating sub-profiles that allow users to change their profile picture and name to suit different groups of friends for a more personalized experience across various aspects of their lives, and Message Backup which securely stores messages, photos, files, and videos indefinitely with up to 100GB of storage. Furthermore, subscribers will enjoy benefits from LINE SHOPPING and LINE MAN, all for a monthly fee of just 169 baht. Plans are to launch the subscription service in the second quarter of this year.
  2. LINE GIFT: An e-Gifting service that revolutionizes the concept of gift-giving through Social Gifting. It allows users to give their friends on LINE a pleasant experience by easily sending e-vouchers, products, and services from leading brands directly through chat. Even if the recipient’s address is unknown, the gift can still be delivered. Key features include allowing recipients to choose product colors and sizes according to their preferences or set up a wishlist. Additionally, a scheduling feature ensures timely delivery of vouchers on special occasions, making gift-giving easier and enhancing communication through LINE chats. This service is expected to be available in the second half of the year.
  3. LINE HEALTH is now available in a trial phase, leveraging LINE’s strength in communication to connect users with online medical service providers. This helps overcome barriers for patients who live far from hospitals or have limited time to visit a doctor. The platform offers a one-stop solution, featuring services from Health At Work, a provider of medical and specialized healthcare services, with seamless integration with leading health insurance providers. It also includes OOCA, an online mental health consultation service connecting users with certified psychiatrists and psychologists. Beyond consultations, LINE HEALTH keeps users informed with the latest health knowledge. Coming soon, the platform will introduce Health Shop, a hub for health-related products and expand its collaborative network by connecting with other service providers, including Thailand’s universal coverage scheme. With these additions, LINE HEALTH aims to provide comprehensive digital healthcare services for users across Thailand. Unveiling IP Business Strategies for the First Time in Thailand: Unlimited Business Opportunities with IPX (LINE FRIENDS) – LINE WEBTOON

For the first time in Thailand, LINE is unveiling its global IP Business strategies with IPX (formerly LINE FRIENDS) and LINE WEBTOON. IPX has evolved into a creative studio developing strong global brands, while LINE WEBTOON, the world’s leading webtoon platform, is expanding business opportunities from webtoon content to IP Business. Both services are ready to bring forward characters, content, and projects that are open to diverse partnership opportunities in 2025.

Highlighting “LINE MINIAPP” and Launching LINE DEVELOPER PARTNER

At the event, LINE MINIAPP was introduced, expanding the platform’s capabilities to allow developers to create their own apps on LINE. This reduces the limitations of developing native apps, which require significant time and resources. The platform provides a space for developers to create services on LINE that users can access easily and comprehensively. Additionally, the LINE MINIAPP Playground was showcased, offering developers a space to experiment with building their own MINIAPP before actual development. The event also featured two partners: The Omelet and Anybot Thailand, which presented solutions to help businesses and developers create MINIAPP more easily (Low-code MINIAPP), and OKKAMI, an experienced provider of LINE MINIAPP for brands and organizations in the hospitality industry worldwide, who shared case studies and techniques during the event.

In addition to this, LINE has launched the LINE DEVELOPER PARTNER program, which aims to enhance the capabilities of Thai developers. This program offers comprehensive support from LINE, enabling developers to become leading partners in the country. LINE is now accepting applications from developer organizations across Thailand. Selected organizations will receive support from LINE in terms of in-depth expertise, marketing assistance, and opportunities to collaborate on projects with business partners.

Furthermore, LINE reaffirms its vision of being an open platform for Thais, LINE plans to open its infrastructure to external developers in the future, allowing them to create services and solutions on LINE.
