Thailand Gears Up as Asia’s HoReCa Hub: Commerce Minister Launches THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2025 with a 4 Billion Baht Trade Target

Mr. Pichai Naripthaphan, Minister of Commerce, presided over the opening ceremony of THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2025, the comprehensive trade show for the HoReCa industry, covering hotels, restaurants, cafés, and catering services. This event reinforces Thailand’s position as Asia’s leading HoReCa business hub. Jointly organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC), and Koelnmesse from Germany (KM), the event takes place from 5–7 March at Halls 9-12, IMPACT Exhibition Center, Muang Thong Thani.

Mr. Pichai stated: “THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2025 is a distinguished trade exhibition for the HoReCa industry, encompassing hotels, restaurants, cafés, and catering services. This is the second edition of this event, following the outstanding success of last year. The recovery of the tourism and hospitality sectors following the global pandemic, along with Thailand’s status as a renowned global tourist destination, has been an essential factor in the strong growth of the HoReCa industry. Therefore, this edition of THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA will undoubtedly serve as a crucial platform to bring together key players across the entire HoReCa supply chain.”

“In order to foster and facilitate global trade and investment with Thailand, the Thai Government is committed to expanding Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to open new potential markets. Recently, we have signed the THAI-EFTA FTA, our first FTA with the European Union, as well as the THAI-Bhutan FTA. In the near future, Thailand is expected to finalise FTAs with Israel, the UAE, South Korea, Canada, and the UK. These FTAs will attract foreign investment and create valuable opportunities, especially for businesses in the HoReCa sector.”

“THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2025 serves as a premier platform for showcasing new products, technologies, and innovations in the HoReCa industry, featuring over 460 companies from 25 countries (including Thailand)—making it even bigger than last year. The success of this event and the growth of the HoReCa industry underscore Thailand’s potential as a regional HoReCa business hub. In addition, our nation is well-equipped with world-class infrastructure, a strong business network, and skilled professionals, along with government support to position Thailand as a global hub for the service industry. We are confident that this economic trend will foster business confidence and enhance trade partnerships with Thailand.”

As one of the world’s most comprehensive HoReCa trade fairs, THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2025 spans 27,000 sq.m. of exhibition space, covering nine categories: Bakery & Ice-Cream, Café & Bar, Cleaning & Laundry, Dining, Furnishing, Kitchen, Services, Tech, and Wellness, plus a special HoReCa Food zone.

The event features various special highlights and activities, including the ASEAN Barista Team Championship, the Thailand Ultimate Housekeeping Challenge, the THAIFEX – HOREC Xperiential Zone showcasing industry trends, and the Asian Pizza Show Academy. Additionally, the THAIFEX – HOREC Academy will offer expert-led seminars, workshops, live cooking demonstrations, and engaging activities throughout the three-day event.

With an expected attendance of over 20,000 visitors, buyers, and business professionals from around the world, THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2025 aims to generate over 4 billion baht in trade value.

THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2025 will be held from 5–7 March 2025, from 10:00 to 18:00 hrs at IMPACT Exhibition Center, Halls 9–12, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. For more information and registration, visit www.thaifex-horec.asia.
