ABeam Consulting Thailand Leads Reforestation Initiative to Expand Green Spaces and Continue the SEA Steps To Change Campaign
In today’s world, business sustainability extends beyond organizational success, embracing a broader responsibility to society across various dimensions. As a leading global business and digital transformation consulting firm, ABeam Consulting Thailand is committed to balancing business growth with environmental stewardship. In alignment with this vision, the company has continued its “SEA Steps To Change” campaign to pass down sustainable practices from one generation to the next.
Recently, ABeam Consulting Thailand advanced its SEA Steps To Change campaign for the second consecutive year, engaging employees in expanding green spaces and promoting natural sustainability at the “Kaed Nom Klao Urban Community Forest.” This initiative encourages employees to voluntarily participate in tree-planting activities, fostering a long-lasting appreciation for nature conservation and environmental sustainability.
Mr. Keiji Horie, Managing Director of ABeam Consulting (Thailand) Ltd., shared, “This campaign represents a collaborative effort across ABeam Consulting in Southeast Asia, aiming to engage our employees in giving back to society by increasing Bangkok’s green spaces, which serve as natural air purifiers and contribute to long-term sustainability. This effort is our humble way of making a positive difference for a better world. Beyond reforestation, we hope that this ongoing campaign instills in our employees a deep commitment to nature conservation, a love for the planet, and a spirit of selflessness that will ripple out to the communities around us and, ultimately, to our clients.”
This year’s SEA Steps To Change campaign was organized in collaboration with Mrs. Prempree Trairat, President of the Kaed Nom Klao Urban Community Forest, who facilitated diverse nature-oriented and educational activities at Bang Kachao. These activities included nature walks, herbal compress-making, foot massages, and traditional tie-dyeing workshops. The event’s highlight was planting 300 trees, with Mr. Nutson Pairoj, Assistant Head of the Bang Kachao Green Space Management Center, leading employees through the process and sharing valuable knowledge on reforestation.
The campaign featured local, environmentally resilient tree species, such as the PHILANGKASA (Ardisia polycephala). This species thrives in brackish water and can be cultivated for its fruit, offering a refreshing drink or a sustainable income source for the community. Due to its rarity, officials are advocating the planting of PHILANGKASA (Ardisia polycephala) to enhance local benefits and provide a steady income stream for the community, fostering sustainable use of local resources.
This initiative goes beyond instilling conservation values and a spirit of sacrifice among employees. It contributes to positive social and environmental changes and aligns with ABeam Consulting’s philosophy, “Build Beyond As One.” This guiding principle emphasizes the importance of collective action in creating something larger, more meaningful, and enduring, inspiring society toward continuous positive change.
