The DITP is promoting Thai SELECT cuisine as a soft power by organizing a pavilion showcasing products and presenting new Thai SELECT certificates at THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2024

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) is promoting Thai cuisine as a global soft power by organizing the Thai SELECT Pavilion at THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2024. This pavilion showcases a variety of Thai ready-to-eat food products bearing the Thai SELECT logo to international audiences. The event, taking place from 28th May to 1st June 2024 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, also includes the presentation of new Thai SELECT certificates to selected products for the year 2024.

Within the Thai SELECT Pavilion this year, 80 companies are exhibiting various Thai ready-to-eat products, including ready-to-cook, ready-to-eat, and semi-prepared savoury and sweet dishes, Thai dipping sauces, curry pastes, sauces, and seasonings. Additionally, there are various activities such as an exhibition explaining the project’s background, criteria, and benefits of the Thai SELECT logo, along with cooking shows using Thai SELECT products by renowned food influencers. There is also a business zone for trade negotiations.

Alongside the showcase, the Thai SELECT certificate presentation ceremony, presided over by Mr.Phusit Ratanakul Sereroengrit, Director-General of Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), awarded Thai SELECT certificate to 244 new Thai ready-to-eat products from 41 companies that passed the selection criteria for the year 2024. These products are certified for their authentic Thai flavors based on traditional recipes and cooking processes. Currently, there are a total of 734 Thai SELECT-certified products from 81 companies.
