Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual School Disrupts Thai Education with Affordable Quality Education for All

Aligning with the Ministry of Education’s vision to provide universal access to quality education and addressing a key pain point in the education sector, Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual School has launched its first campus on Ramkhamhaeng Road, offering affordable trilingual education for Thai students. With tuition starting at approximately 100,000 baht per year or about 50,000 baht per semester, and unlike many others, Zhi-Ler DOES NOT impose admission, registration or ANY EXTRA fees to join the school. Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual School’s Siripen Campus will offer an Intensive Chinese-English Program (ICEP) tailored for children aged 2–11 to learn Thai, English, and Chinese in the upcoming 2025 academic year. Dedicated to raising Thailand’s educational standards, Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual School aims to expand to 5–7 campuses within the next 10 years. According to the perspectives of the Embassies of China and Malaysia in Thailand, equipping students at the early year education with Chinese proficiency alongside Thai and English, is key to unlocking opportunities for future higher education and careers, empowering the next generation, and contributing to ASEAN’s prosperity.

Dr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, Vice Minister for Education, Thailand addressed the importance of multilingual education in today’s globalized world, emphasizing that early trilingual learning enhances cognitive development and prepares students for future opportunities. Research indicates that children who learn multiple languages from a young age tend to demonstrate stronger problem-solving skills, enhanced creativity, and improved memory. Ones of the Ministry of Education’s key strategies is to provide universal access to quality education and to develop human resources that boost national competitiveness. The launch of Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual School is perfectly aligned with these strategies. Advancing Thai education requires collaboration and support from all stakeholders—government sectors, private enterprises, the public, and parents.

Mr. Bong Yik Jui, Deputy Chief of Mission and Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Malaysia in Thailand, highlighted the strong cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia, particularly the ambitious bilateral trade target of US$30 billion by 2027, which is expected to create significant economic opportunities. He emphasized the importance of fostering a workforce equipped with essential skills, especially proficiency in Chinese. The establishment of Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual Schools is both timely and significant, as it empowers students with the tools to succeed at local, regional, and global levels, preparing the next generation for future challenges starting from early childhood education.

Mr. Walter Lee, Co-Founder of Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual School and Chairman, Zhi-Ler Group of Companies, stated that in today’s rapidly evolving world, multilingual learning is an essential tool for broadening horizons and unlocking new opportunities. However, quality education in Thailand is often expensive, making it accessible to only a limited group of families. Recognizing this, Zhi-Ler Group of Companies aims to empower young students in Thailand with a high-quality trilingual curriculum in Thai, English, and Chinese at affordable tuition fee.

Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual School’s Siripen Campus, located on Ramkhamhaeng Road, is its inaugural site. Currently offering an Intensive English Program (IEP), the school will transition to an Intensive Chinese-English Program (ICEP) in the 2025 academic year, catering to children aged 2–11. The curriculum allocation for Thai, English, and Chinese will transform from 49% Thai, 27% English, and 24% Chinese in 2025 to 40% Thai, 30% English, and 30% Chinese within two years. Moreover, the Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual School curriculum emphasizes five key pillars: holistic development, critical thinking, arts and creativity, science and technology, and a global perspective.

“To make such a high-quality trilingual curriculum affordable and accessible, Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual School offers tuition starting at approximately 50,000 baht per semester or about 100,000 baht annually. Our first campus will begin accepting students in the upcoming 2025 academic year from February 12, 2025 onwards. We aim to establish 5–7 campuses within the next 10 years, ensuring that quality, affordable early trilingual learning is accessible to all,” said Mr. Walter Lee

Mr. Zhao Yanqing, Chairman & Director, Commission for China Ministry of Education, Thailand, stated that Chinese education in Thailand has made remarkable progress, and with the fifth industrial shift, the demand for Chinese language skills across Southeast Asia is growing rapidly. He highlighted that the rise of trilingual schools reflects the evolving needs of society, and the collaboration between Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual School and MetaLingo represents a significant milestone in advancing high-quality multilingual education through digitalization and standardization. This partnership, he noted, will play a crucial role in nurturing the talent required for Thailand’s future economic growth.

To promote educational equality, Zhi-Ler Pattana Trilingual School awarded two scholarships to students with physical disabilities through the “Zy Movement Foundation” during the school’s launch event. This initiative reflects the school’s commitment to providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality trilingual education, as well as fostering inclusivity for all segments of Thai society.
