Chang Mineral Water has strengthened its sports marketing strategy for 2025, reinforcing its commitment to “Chang Stands Alongside Thai Football Culture Always and Forever”. As Thailand’s leading beverage brand, Chang continues to win the hearts of Thai fans across all ages, particularly among college students. The “Chang U-Champion Cup Season 3 to England” campaign kicks-off with the goal of expanding the competition to over 50 universities nationwide. This initiative also aims to elevate the tournament into a nationally popular sports trend by enhancing the cheering experience both online and offline, encouraging students to rally behind their university teams.

Mrs. Jesdakorn Ghosh, Marketing Director of Chang Mineral Water, said, “The Chang U-Champion Cup, a national university football competition, provides a world-class experience and reaffirms Chang’s commitment to Thai football for over 30 years. We support football at all levels, from youth development to the international stage. To ensure ‘Chang U-Champion Cup Season 3 to England’ resonates with young football fans and college students nationwide, we have elevated the competition to the national level this year. With over 50 university football teams participating, we are driving excitement and engagement through online media, positioning the tournament as a trending national sports event.”

According to the latest IPSOS survey (2024), Chang remains the top-of-mind brand supporting football fans across all ages within the beverage category. The survey reported an overall recognition score of 75%, with a particularly strong presence among the new generation (ages 20-24), scoring 77%, a 10% increase from the previous year. Additionally, brand awareness among female football fans grew by over 15%, reaching an overall score of 67%. These figures highlight the growing appeal of football among Thai consumers, with over 35 million people – more than half of the country’s population – ranging from hard-core enthusiasts to casual supporters.

The “Chang U-Champion Cup” returns for its third year with an expanded, more competitive format, now reaching all regions nationwide. The prizes have been upgraded to reflect the prestige of Thailand’s premier university-level football competition, with over 50 university teams competing for the “Dream Prize” – an exclusive, money can’t buy experience as part of the “Chang U-Champion Cup Season 3 to England” campaign. The winning team and the recipient of the “SPORTSMANSHIP” award will have the opportunity to experience world-class football in England, including training and competing with Leicester City football players at Seagrave, one of the top three training grounds in England. They will also enjoy a Meet and Greet with world-renowned footballers and attend a Premier League match, offering inspiration for young players to pursue professional careers and strengthen the future of the ‘Changsuek’ national team.

Chang is also organized a special dream match featuring the Changsuek team, against RBAC, the reigning Chang U-Champion Cup Season 2 champions. Competing under the team name “Changsuek All-Stars,” the lineup includes football stars such as Jonathan Khemdee, Mika Chunuonsee, Ben Davis, Thanawat Suengchitthawon, Adisak Kraisorn, Jakkaphan Kaewprom, Adisorn Promrak, Thitawee Aksornsri, Thitathorn Aksornsri, Ernesto Phumipha, and Anipong Kijkam. Adding excitement to the event, Chang will also send the “Chang Friends,” a team of celebrity players including Nicky Nachat, Great Warintorn, Ohm Phawat, Fourth Nattawat, Oat Pramote, Art Marut, Ul Pakpoom, Jack Fanchan, Gino The Snack, Tangmo Pongpisut, Jay Worapat, and Je Dam, to engage fans throughout the tournament. This initiative aims to enhance the football experience for students across over 50 participating universities.

In the launch VTR of “Chang U-Champion Cup Champion Season 3 to England” campaign, Chang Mineral Water reaffirmed its dedication to developing Thai football for over 30 years. The brand continues to elevate the sport through strategic, ongoing support, from youth and university leagues to the professional Thai League. As the principal sponsor of the “Chang FA Cup,” Thailand’s premier football competition, Chang also extends its influence to the national “Changsuek” level and globally through partnerships with Premier League clubs like Leicester City.

Looking ahead to 2025, Chang is set to launch a variety of football campaigns while enhancing the Chang-level cheering experiences across online, offline, and on-ground platforms, catering to all groups of football fans. This national initiative will rally national support for the Changsuek team in the upcoming Asian Cup, Asia’s biggest football competition, kicking-off this March.

“We are confident that the ‘Chang U-Champion Cup’ will continue growing in popularity each year. Our goal is to make Season 3 a nationally trending sport – not only by increasing participation but also by inspiring the new generation of both footballers and football supporters. Most importantly, this competition serves as a stepping stone for university-level footballers to advance into professional football,” concluded Ms. Jesdakorn.
