SAMA Debuts in Bangkok to Strengthen Thailand’s Marketing Industry

SAMA, a strategic initiative designed to foster collaboration among leading creative and innovative agencies across Asia, officially launched this week at SCB Next Tech, Siam Paragon. The event brought together key industry leaders to discuss the evolving landscape of marketing and communications in Thailand and beyond.

SAMA, or the Strategic Asia Marketing Alliance, connects top-tier agencies with deep local expertise to offer brands a unified approach to marketing, technology, and communications. By leveraging this extensive network, brands can accelerate market entry, execute high-impact regional campaigns, and gain a competitive edge in diverse Southeast Asian markets.

Chan Leong Teng, Founder and Regional President of SAMA, highlighted the alliance’s mission: “Brands today often need more than agencies with local competencies; they need scalable, regional strategies. SAMA is designed to bridge that gap by offering businesses seamless access to best-in-class marketing and technology solutions across multiple countries. Whether adapting campaigns for local audiences, leveraging data-driven insights, or streamlining execution across borders, SAMA provides the expertise and network to make it happen.”

The launch event featured a panel discussion with leading marketing and business experts, including Sutirapan Sakkawatra, Chief Customer Officer, SCBX, Pert Pongpiti Phasukyud, Founder and CEO of Ad Addict, and Vanchana Jitkarnngarn, the President of SAMA Thailand and Chief Strategy Officer at Chamni’s Eye, who shared insights on the challenges and opportunities facing Thailand’s marketing landscape and how strategic collaboration can drive future growth.

SAMA also unveiled its official logo, website, and social media platforms during the event, reinforcing its commitment to fostering industry-wide connections and innovation. “With SAMA, businesses gain more than just marketing support; they gain a network of trusted regional partners that enable them to navigate complex markets, engage local consumers effectively, and achieve sustainable growth across Asia”, added Vanchana Jitkarnngarn.

The event concluded with a networking session, providing attendees with opportunities to engage with SAMA’s leadership and explore potential collaborations. The launch was supported by SAMA’s founding members in Thailand.

Thailand is one of SAMA’s launch markets, alongside Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. However, SAMA will also target Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia, and more, intending to become a recognised and respected alliance across the APAC region.
