Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd. and Nippon Express Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on sustainability and corporate social responsibility collaboration to drive sustainability throughout the value chain while creating tangible and positive impacts on society and the environment. This partnership reinforces Bridgestone Group’s long-term environmental vision toward achieving Sustainable Materials by 2050, with an aim to increase the proportion of recycled and renewable materials to 40% of all raw materials used in tire production by 2030.

This collaboration focuses on the proper, safe, and environmentally responsible management of used tires. It covers the process of selecting high-quality used tire casings for production into premium retread tires, as well as the management of end-of-life tires into the recycling process under the Circular Economy principle. The initiative aims to maximize resource efficiency and minimize environmental impact by combining Bridgestone’s expertise in tire innovation with Nippon Express Logistics’ global logistics capabilities to establish a comprehensive circular sustainability management system.

This collaboration has created mutual benefits for both organizations through the proper management of end-of-life tires, ensuring safety while minimizing environmental impact. The partnership also includes joint efforts to study and develop approaches to enhance tire utilization efficiency, extend tire lifespan, and promote the sustainable recycling of end-of-life tires.

In addition, this extends to the various social contribution activities, including “B-SAFE project” to enhance driving safety skills aimed at promoting road safety awareness, as well as environmental and biodiversity conservation initiatives such as “Bridgestone Nature Conservation” project. Together, these initiatives contribute to creating a safer and more sustainable society.
